Greenville Gives Back

United Ministries is blessed to receive the support of a variety of individuals, churches, foundations and local organizations, all of which are important and integral to the programs and services of United Ministries. Business, churches and civic groups have held collection drives for food, toiletries or school supplies in support of our programs, or sent financial contributions on a regular basis as an extension to their Missions Ministries or local giving campaigns.  Through their continued and creative support, United Ministries is able to succeed in supporting the needs of Greenville County residents.

Here is a list of some of the creative ways Greenville congregations and business leaders have been giving back:

  • Supporting churches such as Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Christ Church, Eastminster Presbyterian Church, First Baptist Church, Greenville and Fourth Presbyterian Church provide and underwrite the expenses for college students to perform summer internships in our programs.
  • Buncombe Street United Methodist Church has been the host site of our recent graduation ceremonies.
  • Personal Trainer JaBecca Banks hosts an annual holiday “BootCamp with a Purpose” event to collect non-perishable donations for our food pantry.
  • Lowe’s Heroes donate building supplies and volunteers to keep up our facilities at 606 Pendleton Street.
  • Student groups assist in the landscaping upkeep at our main office.

We invite you and your organization to join the United Ministries family.  If you would like United Ministries to make a presentation to a group or discuss creative ways to help, please contact Keith Trout at 864.232.6463.
