Walk a Mile in Their Shoes

It is sometimes difficult to truly envision what the impoverished experience every day. Because of this, United Ministries facilitates three poverty simulations that provide participants with a chance to "walk a mile in their shoes." We offer:

• the Missouri Community Action Poverty Simulation, a general poverty simulation that encompasses a “month” of living in poverty.

Who Participates:  Each simulation tends to have a different audience. Anyone interested in learning more or “experiencing poverty first-hand” is encouraged to sign-up and participate.
