Who supports United Ministries?
Over 8,000 individuals and their families benefit from United Ministries annually because we are blessed by financial support, gifts-in-kind, food pantry donations and volunteer service from many sources.
In addition to making financial contributions, our supporting congregations, business and community members were also a source for volunteers and food pantry donations.
A look at how each of the programs are supported . . .
Adult Education receives funding from individuals, churches, the United Way and federal education grants.
Employment Readiness is funded primarily by federal education grants and United Way dollars.
Place of Hope receives funding from all of the sources shown above, as well as from our annual Walk for the Homeless, of which all the proceeds go to support Place of Hope.
Emergency Assistance receives funding and donations from all sources, too. In addition, the money that is collected during our annual Greenville Worships Together service goes to Emergency Assistance, and this year all of the cans used during the Canstruction Project will be donated to our food pantry.
